The study examined issues of responsibility and credibility in science communication by researchers and science journalists focusing on the online uptake of the results of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nejm.org\/doi\/full\/10.1056\/NEJMoa2212948\">the third clinical trial <\/a>for an experimental Alzheimer\u2019s drug. The paper addressed the following research questions: <strong>What types of transformations occur when research results are reported to diverse audiences, and how do these transformations affect the information conveyed? How is credibility constructed? How is the shift from reporting results to evaluating them marked in media texts?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-large-font-size\">The findings revealed selective transfer of information, changes to the strength of knowledge claims, and limited opportunities for the public to verify the accuracy of the reported content.
