{"id":329,"date":"2025-11-30T10:52:54","date_gmt":"2025-11-30T10:52:54","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/digespedi.us.edu.pl\/?p=329"},"modified":"2026-01-06T10:10:41","modified_gmt":"2026-01-06T10:10:41","slug":"new-publication","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/digespedi.us.edu.pl\/index.php\/2025\/11\/30\/new-publication\/","title":{"rendered":"New article on computational analysis of values"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>We are pleased to announce that our members, <a href=\"https:\/\/digespedi.us.edu.pl\/index.php\/agnieszka-ziora\/\" data-type=\"page\" data-id=\"64\">Agnieszka Ziora<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/digespedi.us.edu.pl\/index.php\/dominik-gegotek\/\" data-type=\"page\" data-id=\"162\">Dominik G\u0119gote<strong>k<\/strong><\/a> have just published a book chapter titled <em><strong>Analysing Values and Emotions in the Face of Modern Changes \u2013 from Psychological Categorization Systems to Computational Linguistic Analysis<\/strong><\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The article examines <strong>computational tools<\/strong> used for analysis of values, emotions, and sentiment in text, with a focus on assessing their accuracy. It introduces <a href=\"https:\/\/clarin.biz\/tools\/emotagger\"><strong>EmoTagger<\/strong><\/a> as the primary tool for this study, aiming to evaluate its effectiveness in linguistic analysis. The research describes theoretical frameworks (e.g., Appraisal Theory, Plutchik\u2019s Wheel of Emotions) and uses practical methodologies, including manual and automated analyses, to compare the results provided by EmoTagger with those from human evaluations. The findings reveal that EmoTagger achieves an accuracy rate of approximately 64.5-82.5%, averaging up to 80% in certain cases.
